Had a search, but there's so many thread's, can't find the answer. Just had my second hand rstuner delivered, how do I unlock the unit? I've purchased the licence from fastchip, just no idea what to do know??

just read this on the trophy forums.

Provide us with your VCI hardware unlock code. You can obtain this by connecting the VCI to your PC under / about / unlock VCI / Copy to clipboard.
Send us the code by mail and we will unlock your VCI accordingly.

so i presume it just unlocks?

I know u figured it out but just incase others have issues....

Fire up RSTuner software,
go to "about",
then clcik copy to keyboard.
Paste that code in an email to Fastchip they will then send an 8 digit code back to you.
Put that code into the box under "about, unlock vci" and hit the unblock button.

Unit should now be unlocked

Right. One issue sorted, another one now! Made a mistake entering the VIN number, put a zero instead of an o. Emailed fastchip a couple of hrs ago, just wondering if anyone had any suggestions before they get back to me.

Don't think so, think it locks the unit to that vin number. But the vin I've entered doesn't exist, so obviously not working!

But if you did another car, (with another code) then you would simply type the code in.
Im probably not being very helpful lol, I cant quite remember the software, did mine ages ago

I put my code to unlock in the comments box when I purchased the license. Am I better sending a seperatw email as I bought it this morning and still havnt heard anything? How did evrybody else go about buying and unlock code?

I bought mine and then replied to the confirmation email with the VCi, that way it went through on a seperate email. Henk replied the next day if I remember correctly.
