Thats weird i have never seen 7803??

Normaly its 8100 7802. You need the RST update software along with the map so it ends up 8200 7804.

Other peoples maps can work and do, but if you are running 7803 i would just buy them through fastchip tbh.Remember you must install the RST update software before loading the 98 ron map.

And what about if you're caught out and have to put 97, or in a real crisis, 95 Ron fuel in? Does it do any damage or just doesn't run quite right ie retards timing etc?

It runs fine on 95 to be honest, I've had to use 95 before and had no adverse effects!

Oh that's ok then, not that I intend to use it, but sometimes down in Cornwall finding a V power station close by is impossible! There momentum nearby but stopped usin that a long time ago!

Just checked the original code is 8000 7802 on mine then once the rstuner has been put on its 8200 7804. maybe when its 8100 7803 its been into renault for something and its been updated?? i have done a few cars and helped a fair few out and have never come across 8100 7803 so thats new to me.

Yes matt you can revert back to the standard software and cal but it makes the car feel broke lol.

doesn't need to be V-power any super unleaded will do

One thing I've always wondered - once you upgrade and go to the RON98 map - can you actually downgrade back to the original if you ever wanted to?

Yeah you can, you just load the OEM map back on... i did this to see whether there was any difference between the two maps
