RS Tuner - what is it??

Hi guys, new to the forum and relatively new to Clios. Heard a lot about the RS tuner map. But just wondered what exactly is it? How does it work? How/where do you buy it? Is it a plug and play type thing?

It's a box you plug into the car. Then you can write a file to your ecu.

aAnd you can check for diagnostic codes. And watch live data feeds.

costs £120 second hand then €58 euro for unlock code then €30 for the performance map

Sorry did a quick search but couldn't find exactly what I was after. Ah ok where abouts can you buy it from new? Are there any drawbacks to them?

To add to that, you can sell it on second hand at 120 all day long, so in reality it costs you 88 euro's for a much more drivable car which feels a lot nicer to drive.

Totally worth it imo.

Can you go straight to rstuning and get them to install it or do they charge you for fitting swell?

Nothing to do with rstuning.

Different company.

It's just an interface between your car and the computer so it can copy the map over, the box doesn't stay in the car when you've finished mapping.

Ahhh right fair enough, bit confused then.

Would you guys recommend getting the Fastchip RS Tuner or getting it mapped at retuning? Sorry for the noob questions, only had it like 2 months so still new to everything haha

Best mod ever for the money go for between 110 and 150 on here all day long !! worth it for the diagnostic facility alone !!
