RT on 17s

So to get my 1.4rt on 17s with a 35mm drop, i will need 2 valver front wings and an offset of what? How much will the valver wings cost? And will they fit in direct replacment? Will the back wheels go straight on? thanks, Sam

i have 16s and a 40mm drop and the whole back is stripped out

need valver wings on front, may need to be trimmed possibly, and yes they r a direct replacement - £75 quid new from renault i think- could get em cheaper from IGOTPARTS or from a scrappy?

seems tho no car is all the same and some can take 17s with no scrubbin and some need arch rollin on 15s - jus a case of try em n c!!

Dunno about the offset, but when my valver went kaboom, i put my 17s on my old RT. It has valver front arches with the inner arches taken out.

I was quite shocked to find they went on the car very easily, they only scrubb slightly on full lock and when goin over some harsher bumps. My RTs dropped 60mm too, although RTs start life way higher than a valver so its not that low.

Oh and the valver front wings are about £35 each direct from renault and are quite easy to fit once the inner arch has come out.

Its amazing how small the phase II wheels look now after getting used to 17s!

Warning though, handling suffers big time! Proper tramlines!

Ummm, just looking at this to see if any more posts, and mines dissapeared, so im postin it again :/

Ive got a 95 1.4 RT , and 16" super ts went on fine with 35 mm drop. The only time it ever rubs is with 2 people in the back and all the audio equip in the boot and even then, its not doing anything bad to the car.

Im also looking to fit 17"s onto a rt. But I was thinking of flaring the rear arches to accomadate for a 60mm drop, and get valver arches on the front, and roll them out. Hopefully -60mm coils alround with 17"s with a lot of arch work, i should be able to hold a car of four and my ice.

Ive had 17s on my rt for over a year now, lowered 40mm, all i had to do was remove the rear splash guards, grind off the under wing lip, cut back the bumper and they are fine.

the fronts i cut the bumper back and rubbed down a few areas and they were fine. i now have 16v wings on the front because i got them cheap, but i never had any serious problems with the standard wings.
