Rubbing exhaust

  Arctic 182
Dudes and dudettes,

Does anyone have any handy hints for exhaust alignment? Mine rubs on the rear surrounds when it gets hots and it starting to melt them, plus it sounds horrendous.

Exhaust is a ktec/janspeed ultrasport and i have the prima mounts so there is no room for movement with them..

Jack under the back box loosen everything off position it where you want it then tighten. Last thing remove Jack.

Trying to get the exhaust to sit right is a b**ch

The two prima ones are fixed and there is no movement.

What other parts would you suggest i tighten/loosen?

You'll want to grind off the hanger and weld a new one in after moving the jacked back box into perfect position.

I have moved the mounting brackets that are bolted to the boot floor.
If you but rope inside the bracket then pull in between the back bumper and tyre the hole exhaust will move.
You will need to do this on both sides for it to work.
They can also bee moved buy placing a piece of wood on them for protection then hitting with a hammer.
