Rubbing Wheels!

Ive just brought some new wheels of a new(ish) 172, ive got a 95 RT and was told that the offsets were very similar (ie within 1mm) Now ive got em on and theyre rubbing like f*ck! what to do?

they are totally diff offsets, the 16" 172 wheels are about 48 and your looking for 36.
