I would imagint the wheels are the wrong offset as 17s should fit when lowered no problem. A customer at work has coilovers AND 17s and its fine. Sounds to me like you've been sold the wrong size wheel my friend.

either fit spacers if the wheels are sat in too deep, or get the hub face machined down inf they sit too far out.

Failing all this, just don't offer lifts and save yourself petrol?! lol

yea friend of mine had this problem in a 106 he was told by halfrauds that thell fit no prob and the tyres are rubbing big style on the arch lip and causing what i think to be dangerous rubber peeling lol tyres getin thin is scary spech on motorway and thats due to the cluless floobs at halfords ive told him to go back and DEMAND a new set of proper sized alloys as he was missold the wrong size

When i got my car it rubbed with 17s on it and it wasnt lowered, luckily the bloke had kept the original wheels.

Mine does this too. It came with some 17 inch wheels, prob the wrong offset then. How do you work out what offset they. Would spacers sort it?
