Runabout Grande

  Clio 172, Clio K7J
Hello all how are things going ?

Do you think that 17 OZ f1's are a bit too much for a 1.2 runabout ? :nono:

Not too sure if to leave standard or update the rear, sport interior etc :/

It has the ride height of a 4x4 and the arch gap of a Ford Puma...

Definitely go smalled. The benefits are worthwhile anyway, but even more so because this is a low power track-car build. Smaller wheels (i.e. 15s or 16s) will:
  • Lower the C of G (improving cornering)
  • Reduce something called "unsprung mass" which is very important for handling performance (thereby further improving cornering)
  • Increase accelleration which on a 1.4v is very worthwhile! (think of smaller wheels as being in a slightly lower gear - it's the exact same principle)

EDIT: Opps, didn't realise this was over a week old!
