Running 1 phone with 2 PC's

There was a thread on here a while back detailing how to use 1 iPhone with 2 separate itunes installations.

Seem to remember there being a link detailing how to modify some settings in a HEX editor so that it both installations would work.

Was sure i bookmarked it, but haven't. Also, did a search here for a few different terms and couldn't find it.

Anyone know where it is/was / saved the link?

I have done it, but everytime you try to sync, it will try to reinstall everthing on your phone again.

If it is just for music, use sharepod from the post above.

just bin itunes and use media monkey, problem solved, altho monkey wont be any use for gettin apps onto your iphone...

AndyRS, that's the page i was looking for. TBH, not bothered about being about to sync to my laptop, just need laptop to be running itunes as it needs to be installed to allow tethering to work. Also, might be handy to be able to load some stuff from the laptop.

I think that's the same guide I used. Worked well for me.

Not had an issue syncing music from the iTunes with different key. I manually sync music if that makes a difference.
