Running power cables in mark 2, phase 1

what is the easiest way to run power cables through the bulkhead?

I have just had a quick look under the bonnet and it is a bit tight for space.

Without poking around too much, I couldnt find an easy way through with existing cables/grommets.

I have a Mk2 Ph2, but Im sure its the same as a Ph1. Left of the dash, under the glove box - there is a large gromet for the bonnet-release cable, you can easily drill an extra hole in it.

Yeah the hard bit is getting out the other side.
I had to remove the bottle for the power steering fluid & pull the sound proofing stuff forward & stick my arm down till I found where it came through.

I thought it looked a bit tight on the engine bay side. I may just give that a go through the bonnet cable grommet.
