Running rich

Just taken the car down for an MOT. She passed with flying colours.

But she's running a bit rich at idle.

Car has KN element Ktec Cat back system. Acoustic valve removed.

Just been serviced new plugs, all new filters, Throttle body off and cleaned.

So my thoughts could be cat full of crap ( its been on for 8yrs. ) or lambda sensor fault.

My plan is to

1. Decat the car see if that sorts it.

2. Decat plus new lambda sensor.

I have access to a gas analyzer.

But my question is how to I tell which ones at fault..? Pre or Post.

Have you ever changed one of these little buggers, Their a right pain to change in situ.

Hence my question.? But if that what it takes....?

Pre cat affects fuelling change that one first.

Just do both then and don't worry which it was if it is sorted . . .
