Rust on brake discs

  Renault Clio
I've just been to buy a 1.2 Expression non-sport, I've put a deposit down and it should be here next week. One problem is though that the discs behind the alloys are literally orange with rust. Please tell me there's a way to solve this :(

Nice mate :) and yes you can solve the rust by driving the car lol, myne get's this after i wash the car and leaveit for a few day's the brakes are s*it hot for the first miles or so but after you've braked a few times it's all gone

It's just from the car sitting in the rain not getting used, will rub off soon as you brake :)

Really? They were covered in orange. I'll give it a try when I get the car. Thanks for the help.

I can actually watch it happen on the 197. Start cleaning it with nice silvery discs and by the time its snowfoamed they are orange :(

The discs on mine are practically brand spankers but looking at them they look fooked.
