rust prevention?

My old t reg clio completely corroded on the drivers side rear arch, and most other older clios i have seen have this exact problem on the drivers rear arch and behind the petrol cap.

Is there anything i can do to prevent this hapening to my 182 or than a good coat of wax?

Garaging the car isnt an option either

Just power wash under the arches and as you said wax it. Also make sure it does not get any deep scratches etc.
