Rusty Arches

Whats the best thing to do?

The paintwork on my new valver is imaculate apart from the rear arches which are starting to bubble up. Whats the best thing to do, have new metal welded in, have just linished and repainted or fibreglass etc. How much do you think it will cost. Is it worth it. The car is mainly for fun not posing. i think i could live with it, but if its inexpensive i might as well do it.

yeah i got the same prob mate, although i had them smoothed off and resparyed but rust has come back though...

so ive now had to book it back in and get it done all over again! (this time cut out)

Not long had new arches on my valver.

Mine were REALLY rusty though.

Instead of paying £260 per rear quarter panel, we bought a universal arch, which you can shape to whatever. Come out really really well, and i wont be worrying about the rust coming back.

Worth doing proper first time around, as im sure Clio_Bus is now thinking!!!
