Get the oe ones from ktec. Trophy rear Sachs are white/silver in colour and are much more expensive than that

Have you sought a price from a reputable Renault parts dealer?

I assume you don't need the Sachs rear dampers that have been made exclusively for the 182 Trophy?

This is probably the cheapest I've found so far http://www.renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/product/renault-clio-182-shock-absorber-rear/
No the Sashs aren't needed mate.

Hi all, sorry to hijack this thread but it seems relevant.

I bought two rear dampers from Renault Parts Direct (link below). They don't come with the top bump stops (as shown in the photo on the link) so i thought it would be easy enough to re-use my existing ones. However, i cant for the life of me work out how i remove the lower bump stop from the existing shaft? The end of the threadded damper shaft has two flats on it but the bump stop seems to be welded on or something?

Any tips? Should i just not be re-using them and buy some more, if so, where from?

If you need rear Sachs shocks which are matched to the front sachs dampers you can buy them from here -
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-R...582789?hash=item3f517551c5:g:h-oAAOSwLVZVxGUv

The ones in the link above are genuine rear sachs dampers from renault at the price of £200 for the pair.

Here is also a link regarding the info on Sachs rear dampers -

The RRP for the genuine dampers from a renault dealership are in the pictures below. -

Nope just pull harder.

10 years of corrosion and speedbumps/potholes will have absolutely rammed them on, but no they're not welded on or anything.

As for reusing, just inspect them for large cracks or tears particularly on the top and bottom surface (shine a torch up the dust cover).
