the quicklaunch buttons is the software that controls what happens when you press fn and one of the F keys with the blue symbols on such as brightness. leave that there, but the rest can go.
 
cheers bud, just gettin rid of all the crap. gonna have a look at whats in the bootup to try n get it running even quicker.
 
i'd keep the quicklaunch as said, and personally the help & support files... surely only a couple of meg so wouldjust keep it there in case.

might want to check whats using SQL server before you get rid.

Could be a number of things, especially as its installed with Office 2007 when its pre-installed on a computer now. The version installed is the replacement for MSDE.
 
dwm.exe desktop windows manager.

isit safe to turn this off as its using the most of the ram. were using vista but aero aint enabled
