I've been offered this as a replacement after my burglary. Anyone (McBunny ) know anything about it?

Not sure how a white TV would look but aren't these Samsung's mean to be quite good?

Plus it would match my Samsung DVD player/surround sound.

not seen the R71 white model before but the other R models look good and is probably what I'm buying after xmas.

It was either this or a Sharp 32" I was offered and no offence to the Sharp but the Samsung seems the better TV. It will be interesting to see how the White surround looks once the TV's in place.

No mate. I meant I'd already got a Samsung surround sound system so this TV would match (in the sense it's the same make, not same colour)

Just called Empire Direct to find out where my TV is and they confirmed "it's definately been despatched" and put me on hold.. 15 minutes later (I left it on speaker phone on my desk while I did some work) I heard a voice saying "hello.. hello.. what do you want?".. Erm my TV ideally love!!

This second woman calmly told me the courier had lost the TV. Hmmmm he lost a 32" TV in the back of his van? I don't think so.

So no new TV and ED don't seem interested in sorting the situation out either.. Wonderful!

I've got the earlier version of this in black, not the R7 and it's awesome.

Not quite as good as my Dad's Bravia though.

Haven't got a 360 mate.. There's the Sky Digibox and my Samsung HT-UP30 in there but it doesn't really get too hot. If I'm watching a film (Divx using USB flash drive into USB port) I'll normally have the door open so I can see the divx names on the lcd display.

bugger buy a 360 then sort out my heat problems for me

tbh it could be used as an oven with a 360 on in there !!

im going to cut some vents at the top of teh backboard and see if that helps

I "extended" the cable outlet in the backboard which I guess helps disperse what little heat builds up in there. When I first moved in I had a Shuttle in the left hand side and I know what you mean about heat build up!!

I just bought a R74, 32 inch LCD Samsung TV in black through Amazon, awesome TV.

I was told that Samsung make the actually LCD screens for people like Sony.

Yup. Sony has it's Bravia processing and Samsung has it's Digital Natural Image engine.
