Sanding after primer?

  Bus Winker
I've sanded down my centre caps and have just finished applying a few coats of primer.
I'm going to leave them until tomorrow now but should I use wet dry the primer before I paint with the main coat?

Yeah , sand the primer then wipe down with some IPA ( isopropyl alcohol ) or panel wipe making sure the surface is clean and grease free .

I'd use a fine wet n dry , something like an 800 grit or even 1200 , especially if the primed surface is already quite smooth .

Cheers, I'll give it a go tomorrow. I've used primer before but I've never sanded after and that's maybe why the paint peels after a few months.

No need to sand the colour coat , 2 or 3 colour coats should be enough , just lacquer it a few hours later after the final colour coat.
