Sat nav, TomTom etc.

  BMW M2C
I'm tempted to pop in and grab one on the way home tonight. I'm getting a bit sick of trying to drive while reading a sheet of paper, and it's hardly safe, so I figure it might come in handy.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't grab the cheapest TomTom unit? It won't get a great deal of use, and it doesn't need to do anything special.

The most I can ever see me needing will be regular maps for the UK and Europe.

Obviously I'll feel less of a man having it. lol

Ta.

I was going to grab it from Halfords on the way home.

I was quite tempted with this unit until you mention you're having issues with some of the Garmin units. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_728769_langId_-1_categoryId_165685 I'm suddenly liking the idea of Bluetooth for my phone.

If the staff member I deal with is cool, I'll buy a case as my good deed for the day. If she's fit I'll buy two. lol

One pound per sale, not accessory so just buy her a drink ;)

Incidentally I've not had any of the 1310s back!

Oh and the bluetooth is alright, but not amazing.

Lee, I have this and it's been excellent. Seen me round France and to the nurburgring etc... never let me down.

Cheap, too.

Another decent unit, albeit with a slightly smaller screen.
