TBH I resent what they do - you buy a device, they charge you for map updates, they charge you for traffic ('premium' traffic on Garmin, you get basic) and they charge you for speed camera updates - WTF? I buy a device, I expect it to have updates for it's usable life.

Licence to f*cking print money, I tell you.

Not paid a penny since 2007. Likelihood of needing the updates is minimal, if the road layout has changed, use your noggin.

Yeah, claiming it on expenses - but it's not the point. I buy a part for a computer, I get updates which improve it's performance and enhance compatibility for the useful life of that product. Why is it I buy a sat nav 4 months ago, and I'm expected to stump up for camera and map updates for it?!
