Yesterday I started to get a kind of scraping sound when accelerating and turning righton my 172. I know brake pads are VERY low and I have got discs and pads off G172 to fit on Saturday. Initially I thought it might be these making the noise but would it not scrape when braking? No noise to be heard on braking at all and also the noise is only at certain revs. If recently fitted new cat to mani bolts and these were tight at the time.
Yesterday I was driving around South London which is full of Speed bumps. Im thinking I may have wrecked top mounts or some kind of bearing. Going to take look tonight if I get time. What are peoples ideas of things I should be looking for.
