screeching sound

AS i climb through the revs a screeching sound appears and goes, wether I am hammering the car or not....on 44k at the moment, had aux belt done at 36k, gonna get cam belt done soon, what would the noise be?

I would not put it off.:S Should be done around 48k. not 72k as everyone thinks.

mine does this as well mate! i think its one of the cambelt pulleys or the tensioner thats causing it. I'm replacing all mine and the cambelt next week hopefully, i've got the kit, just waiting for my dad to fit all now. I'll let you know if the noise goes
