scrubbage please help

hey i need just a simple answer for this guys if u can! lol

i have lowered my mark 1 1.4 rt by 35 mm front n rear, if i put on 16s will i get ne scrubbage?? if i take out the plastic sh*t from the arch??? will i need to get sum seriously thin tyres?
