Sealed Box

Hi there. Im thinking of making a proper boot install for my clio, which means getting rid of my existing sealed box for my subs. I wasnt intending to put them in a sealed box (or any box for that matter), will this cause any nasty side effects? cheers!

yes they will sound crap unles they are free-air subs, which if you have them in a sealed enc at the minute, its unlikely they will be

you have 3 main choices for an enclosure, sealed, ported and bandpass, depending which design yuo choose will determine the basic sound you get from the sub

if your new to building boxes, skip the bandpass idea...can really help to get the best out of a sub for very little power input but narrows the frequency response right down...not a good idea if you listen to a wide variety of music. also a complete and utter b*****d to do the maths for in ur head!
