Sealed induction kit v Hillpower.

Now I know theres a small amount of power to be made from the sealed induction kits. What I want to know is if the hillpower one will produce the same effects. And what do you guys think of the ViperX v BMC?.

Cheers,

Chun.

The HP one is still an induction kit although it is heatshielded better, at speed if you hook up the cold air feed right to the front of the car where its away from the radiator etc, then it will work well, although itll let in a lot of hot air in traffic.

The Viper is supposed to be good and the BMC box Im trying as soon as it arrives. Both should work better than any induction kit but again, you must have a low, front mounted air intake for them to work best.

Just got back from another RR session @ PE, and now *without* the HP induction, CO is fine @ 3-4% and power is down 6BHP but Mervyn reckoned is would be down a little anyway as it is quite warm today compared to previous run...

Will post torque figures later as they are in the car....got them to overlap the old and new session so you can see the difference clearly...

Seems like with remapping of the fuelling there *is* more power to be had...even if we take a pessimistic 4BHP as the power drop.

In the last RR (PE) day, i got 161 @ wheels, that was completely standard

So the induction is doing the work, not really the exhaust, although once the fuelling is increased, this may help to keep the air flow

Interesting result

Lets prey Nick can get a new fuelling map done for the mk2 172 now
