Second Hand Lock Set?

Hi Guys,

I am sure of most of you all know my situation.

Would i be able to purchase a 2nd hand lockset for my car? And get the keys reprogrammed into the car? I know some manufacturers it creatings problems further down? Or would i be better to get a new lockset for £185?
