Securing after market headunit?

Car  Mazda Mx5 1.8 Mk2
Hey,

Just got myself a new headunit and fitting it isnt an issue however, i cant see anyway of actually securing it to the car because at the moment it can just be pulled out?

any help with be much apreciated!!

Thanks

Chris

Should have a metal cage that you secure into the dash and the the CD player should slot in that, in theory needing the CD player keys to pull it out.

Never 100% though mate.

Amen seany. The metal cage should have slots cut in it that you press up/down/left/right depending on the side of the cage to hold the HU in securely :)

Generally the after martet ones dont have the same attachments/bolts to keep them in as the OEM, but my Cabosse [sp?] cd player came out easy as pie, the Alpine would be no harder to remove.

Hey,

Yeah thanks dude just seen the metal slot things, feel kinda silly now :o,

Much apreciated!!
