anyone know the legalities of the MOT with stripping out? i'm led to believe if it aint there, it aint gotta work? (seatbelts etc.)

just need a set of torx bits and job done mate.

you're right about the MOT too.

did you fit the decat? is it on the std system?

Yeah mate i fitted the decat! Nope its got a magnex ss twin back box on it too!

easy job to do? did you replace any fitting bits for it?
 
Get all the plastics and hte belts out man, wont take more the a few hours to do it all. Will make a difference as there is still a fair wack of wieight there, espec. the seat belts and the bolts.

And yeah its really self explanatory taking it all out, so simple.

i know this personally because my car failed it's MOT about a month ago for that exact reason

my mk1 clio valver was listed as a 4seater and had no rear seats or belts and no problems, same on my polo GT.never had any problems.

If its got no rear seats, it doesn't need rear seatbelts. You're WRONG.

there are an awfull lot of stripped clios that must be running about with no mot if that is the case then... i think there might be a couple more details in there somewhere..

it must depend on how the tester is feeling that day

i had to go home and put the buckles back in and pay for a retest
