Sending x-box back to microsoft?

f-ing red rings came up tonight, not happy, only just got forza 3 today aswell.

Ive sent all my details off to microsoft (xbox.com) Surely i dont have to send the xbox at my expense? i would have thought a courier would come pick it up?


Any one else sent theirs back recently?

All the details are also on the xbox site.

They send DHL/UPS can't remember which. You just box it up. No HD. No cables. You'll get it back within two weeks with a months free live.

I got the RROD, called up Microsoft and within 24hrs i had it boxed, a sticker on and dropped off to my local UPS depot. In 7 working days i had it back fixed and problem free. That was 6 months ago and not even close to a problem since

they'll pick it up from you. dont even need to drop it off.

ive had an email from them now giving me a list of sending options, says i should recive another email first with a postage label, still waiting for it though ffs

give it a chance lol. it wont be collected until monday tuesday at the earliest now. if you chose that option anyway.

UPS came for mine within 2hrs of my phonecall. Impressive!

si i take it before i choose my service i have to wait for the electronic label sent by micosoft, sorry im thick as custard.

When you get you your email containing the electronic label you will also have a contact number for UPS, give them a call and arrange a collection time.

It depends what day of the week it is and how far you are from the local UPS Depot.

I was 35miles from it from my house but it's next door to my work so i dropped it off on a friday and i had the delivered to me from Germany the Friday after

TBH everything can be done online now - request repair, get an email to print label off & then lastly arrange collection on UPS's website... Took me about 10/15 minutes and they collected the next day. Better than speaking to some woman who can't speak english!.

Mine went last weekend (RROD). Did the online support thing, received e-mail with UPS label (this was sent circa 24hrs after the initial e-mail you have above). Organised UPS to collect on Tuesday, arrived in Germany on Thursday, is now on it's way back and due to be delivered Next Tuesday. 7 days in total!!

Arrgh, mine went last night, its an original xbox from about 2006 so doubt MS will cover it, cant seem to put the serial number into the support site either

maybe a good time for an Elite I think
