serv and airbag light

I know its been asked lots before but just a quick one -
How do you get the clips apart (the ones with the red security connectors on) underneath the seats?
I've got intermittent airbag and serv light, seems someone has already been under the passenger seat and soldered a couple of wires there.
If it isn't the under seat plugs then am I right in thinking its the ring for the airbag within the steering wheel?

Fixed this now, the clips are of a moronic design! argh
