SERV light

Just had my car serviced and thought the SERV light meant due a service but dads mate at the garage tried turning it off but wouldn't so looked in the book and said it means a problem with the car. Is this correct? And what could it be?

Is there another light illuminated as well? Ie oil and serv?

Nope just SERV

When mine did that it turned out I had no sensors for auto lights/wipers check that they are there and working

Its a 172 cup so dosnt have auto wipers or lights
