Server 2012 R2 Release date

Hi,

Some of you guys are resellers of MS.

Just wondering if any of you have a date for the release of 2012 R2?

I need to buy some data center licenses, but don't want to buy them before this is released as we don't get SA.

Did have a look on Google but there was no concrete date.

I had asked my dodgy reseller, some company called Softcat......... but was waiting for a reply from our account manager.

Date is the 1st of November apparently.

Seems they released it yesterday, but unlike 8.1 that's doesn't actually mean you can get it yet, this article says volume licensing price lists will appear next month. It also says that datacenter will be going up about 28%, so you might want to reconsider waiting and not buying sa, although I'm not sure what premium so is as a percentage.
