server restarts its self

2003 server on a dell PE2650 has just started restarting its self repeatedly (its doing it now) but then will settle and be fine for rest of the day

anyone got any quick ideas it gets to the desktop and will stay up for maybe 30 seconds then bam black screen no events are logged

or just turning off as in the power has been cut?

last time this happened to me a RAM module died. warranty ftw!

I've seen naff PSU's do that too.. amongst other things

right disabled auto restart on blue screen and it seems its an issue with baspxp32.sys

so its the broadcom advanced software utility so just got the new version down so will see if this helps

Was gonna sya turn off auto restart on blue screen - such a pain in the arse sometimes

didnt realise you could turn it offf from f8 at start up

It's useful I suppose if you get just a random Blue screen - at least the server will reboot ok - but if you get a recurring issue like you have and you've not had to turn it off before it does catch you out.
