Service and ESP light

I keep getting the ESP warning light and the service light on.

Its been back to 1 dealer once and another dealer twice both have said that they are unable to see any problems and they have hooked it up to the computer system which shows no problems.

Anyone else had similar problems?

What has bee the resolution ?

Theres a sensor for the brake pedal, that needs to re-calibrated.

Its only a half-hour job. The dealer should know how to fix it, as this has been a common problem.

I have a 172 this has happend 4 times in about 1 year same problom i went 2 the dealer the guy says bring it in with the lights still on so he can put it on the computer havnt had time 2 take it in nothing 2 worry about though

if you brake on a bend it usually comes on?

I braked sharply on a motorway and mine came on. Went off once i switched engine off/on and not seen it since.

had the abs unit changed on mine

used to get the stop service and abs lights after driving for 5 mins.

works fine now

Tell your dealers that there is now an actis solution and ti note for this problem so they can look it up. the solution relates to the brake pedal switch.

Had it on my 182 (lights were permanently on though) and dealer twice replaced an angle sensor (and the lights stayed on!).
Took it to another dealer, who reset the ecu again (apparently had residual fault codes relating to the angle sensor!) and its been fine since.
Could be there are (potentially) 2 problems causing the same symptoms? (or it could be luck that mine has now gone away I guess!)
Just thought id drop in my 2p worth...
