Service/courtesy car Q

I have booked the car in for its 36K service (1.2 dynamique, 2 yrs old.) I managed to get them to give me 10% off by just asking, and she said fine so £225 which as far as I can see isnt too bad for this service at renault.

I also have asked for two warranty repairs; airbag warning and the low idle/cut out at lights issue I am having ATM.

When I asked for a courtesy car (Arnold Clark Renault dealer) she said we dont do courtesy cars only low cost hire at £14.50 a day, and then something about having to provide my own insurance!!! (I am named on a tesco policy at 21 btw).

What can I do??

I contacted Tesco and they said at least that they will provide free cover for the car for the duration we have it... at least thats something (assuming car is not rated any higher)....

Still think I am entitled to a courtesy car though.

I thought Renault were obliged to supply a courtesy car for the first 12 months only. After that, who knows.

My clios been at the dealer for 3 months now, i got a car for about 10-11 weeks then it was taken off me.

Ive now got a rental payed for by Renault UK

Renault dealership will give you a car fror free but they often have a problem with under 21 and I had to (when they realised I was under 21) to get my own insurance company to give me a cover note.

Most companies cover you though is the cars in for warently work.

£225 is a good price though never thourght about asking for a discount to be honest just rang two dealerships to see which could book me in with a courtesy car.

well, I intend to call the dealer again tomorrow and argue for a car since they are doing warranty work aswell as a service, but their response before seemed definate; "we dont do courtesy cars."

Stupid arnold clark. (sorry, SIR arnold Clark).
