Service light + ESP. Please read and help

At times the service and ESP light come on and is starting to happen more often but as soon as I turn engine off it sorts problem out

could this indicate a problem with the braked, I'm worried

just had front discs and pads changed 500 miles ago

No just derive and ESP it's doing it alot more regular now but usualy turn engine off and it sorts it there is obviously a problem somewhere

meh mine's been on for ages, inc abs light sure its a sensor, going to get NW Performance to sort it when I take it there for its MOT June

Just concerned it's more than a sensor especially if it only comes on some of the time

maybe my brakes werent fitted correctly

Ok if it persists and stays on I will take it to the garage, would the problem show up on a diagnostic test?

+1. this was an issue on mine. brake edal switch sorted the problem

It happens when I start the car then turn it off and back on and problem sorted

I do have a habbit of sittin with my foot on the brake when engine is off

started gettin a burning clutch smell but prob just due to my driving syle lol

It isn't the brake pedal switch if the ABS light doesn't come on too.

Chris - yours sounds (obviously) like an ESP issue. The obvious thing is the switch, but doubt that'd bring on the Serv light too.

Get it on diag would be my advice (or find someone with an RS Tuner).
