Service Light Reset

My mates service light has come on but it has just had a service.
Does anyone know how to reset it so that it turns off?

Surely they should have done it at reno?

Not sure if it was done at Reno.

The car had the serivce before the light came on and now it has come on after the service.

By the way, I think it is a MK2 PH1

It indicates a fault - maybe a fluid level low. Its not there to tell you you need a service!

But he disagrees! How do you reset it thou?

diagnostic computer resets it.....reno usually do it after a service but if a back street garage has done it they may not have the equipment to do it.

Cheers. Just thinking, what if my light ever comes on! Will sorting the fault, such as a fluid level switch it of or will I have to take it to Renault?

Serv light does not mean it needs a service, means theres summit up, usually comes on with another light indicating the fault. Wont go off until the faults rectified!

just fix the fault and itll reset itself. Theres no concept of resetting this warning.
