Service light !

hi everyone my service light has came on in the car its only done 4020 miles an also i just noitced see when u start the oil bits is flashing now 2 u know where the miles bit is ! I have gave my 182 to my sister to drive the now cause i am just out of hospital i cant drive for 3 weeks just after an op ! can anyone shed any light on this an i have checked the oil there's enough in it.

that usually happens when you need more oil!

did u check the oil after its been standing for a couple of hours, using the dipstick yeah?

The serv light indicates a fault not a service.
The oil warning light is telling you it needs topping up with oit 5-40 semi syntheic is what you want only a few quid from Halfords etc.

yeah rex i checked it with the dip stick there is plenty in it by the looks of it !

My engine management light keeps coming on as well. It stays on for a few days, then goes out. I'll take it in to the stealer's eventually so they can find out what it is - it seems fine though.

could be somthing else as compared to other related problems . if it's the service light , it could mean the computer has detected a fault , renault will hook it up and the computer tells them what the fcuk up is ??????????
