"Shouldnt" be any problems.

As long as its an EU car, it will still have 3yr warranty and normal servicing.

Pah, get out there and do some more, amateur! ;)

A dealer shouldnt turn you car away for servicing, you may find they get a bit funny when it comes to warranty jobs but they shouldnt do anymore unless the car is either imported from outside the EU or from Cypress.

lol, itll be 750 by end of day.

1150 by end of Friday, plus whatever I do on the weekend.

In theory the Reno dealer should treat you like anyone else with a UK or EU car for servicing and warranty. In practice you may find that they are a bit ar**y and reluctant to take on the job - particulalry if busy. If this happens you should contact Reno Customer (Clientele) Services and complain and threaten to inform your local trading standards (I think they deal with this stuff) as they are potentialy breaking the law.

I know of people with EU bikes who have been totally blanked by official franchises and had to go back to the supplier for recalls/warranty work. Motorpoint will in all likelihood just tell you to go back to the franchise dealer as they will have had your money and thats all they care about!

Good luck.

My 172 was an import and I never once had any problems getting work done on it.

It was in and out for warrenty work on a regular basis at one point, and the dealer actually put themselves out to fix one of the issues, but of course failed!!

They were always more than happy to work on it.

Lee M - you didnt get another import this time (?) what influenced your decision?
A 30% Friends and Family discount. ;)

Mmmm - Im already married anyway! Is this dscount for relatives of RUK employees? I used to get a similar thing for Rover but couldnt bring myself to buy one even with the discount...

It seems to depend on what type of dealer you are using. People who work for large franchise dealers get 5 cars a year for Friends and Family. Small independant dealers appear to be allowed less cars and only family members seem to be allowed to use the discount.

Im not sure though, but that seems to fit what people Ive spoken to have found.
