Servicing Guide.

Someone write one for me please?

Mk2 Non-Sport
Mk2 Sport

Mk3 Non-Sport
Mk3 Sport (I know the 197 and 200 differ slightly)

Someone to collate this into something that's easy to read etc would be great.

Also, this needs to be written by someone with a good standard of English. I don't want to have to edit it all as if I need to do that, I could write it myself.

Something like..

Mk2 Non Sport (1.2/1.4/1.6)
12k/1 year - Minor service - Oil & filter change

etc etc.

Thankyou :D

how much detail would you be looking for R?

down to the oil viscosities, tyre pressures etc?

Or just what is in the handbooks?

PM me what you're looking for.

I'm sure we already have most of it in the guides section, it just needs putting together.

I'm about 30 guides through my re-guiding, but I did start losing the will to live, so have taken a short break.

I've just been made redundant today though, so I will spend my notice finishing them off. I promise.

That sucks, Rob :(

I'll employ you are my personal Ph1 question answerererererer.

This isn't going to go in the guides section, will be a sticky so it's easier to find and for non-paying members too.

Ah good man, I'll PDF the crap out of it if necessary :D

Don't worry about redundancy, it'll be good. (I'm already in somewhere else I hope).

It just means I have no work to do for the next month.

I'll let someone with a bit more know how do those. I've just started cracking on with the PDF's again.

I want a PURPLE name if I complete these. And the title, "Guide God"

Nine. Freaking. Pages.

You can do the Revels bit mate, I'm trying to turn the whole mess that is the guides section into an amazing piece of awesomeness with beautiful PDF's and everything.

Really, it just needs someone with a Mk2 1.2, Mk2 1*2, Mk3 1.2, Mk3 197/200 to copy what it says in the service manual..

I'll do the Ph.2 Mk.2's then, as per the service book.

Need:
Mk.1's
Mk 2/1's
Mk.3/1's
Mk 3/2's

  330i. E30 Touring.
That sucks, Rob :(

PMSL. He'll just forward your requests to me. ;)

i'll do it if you refund me the £2.23 in down time you owe me ;)

EDIT - easy version

once a year for all cars
- oil
- oil filter
- air filter
- cabin filter
- plugs (non sport every 2years, they cost nothing, sport every 3 years)

every 3years/36K inspect aux belt

every 5years/72K belt/dephaser

brake fluid - every 2 years (no one ever bothers)
coolant - every 3 years
box oil - every 3 years

if it has VVT - every 6K miles oil and filter WITHOUT FAIL

these are based on my experience

Cant people just look in the manual?

Or is that too much work for the average cs'er?

^the manual is wrong

12K servicing (in terms of oil and filter is too long - hence dephaser failures)

Suppose so, I change oil 6 monthly, always have, bet most on here dont though. Especially if they are paying a garage to do it.
