Servicing Interval Query...

  MK3 Sport Tourer TCE
Looking through the service history I've noticed the car has in the past gone a while without a service.

It's a 03 plate, currently on 61K.
It had an 18K service, then nothing until 47K

Both were independant garages, not Renault services.

I purchased it a year ago on 48K, it was my first car so I didn't really pay much attention to such details.

So, the question is, with the next service theory due at 65K, what will it need? The same as an official 36K or 54K service? There's no record of what was changed eg spark plugs, air filters etc.

Then after that do I keep to the 18K intervals or make them more regular to make up for the 29K it did without a service?

Hope this made sense :)

18k/2yr is rediculous anyway, i'd go with 9k/1yr at an absolute max. I always change oil/filter every 5k.

The service schedule for most new renaults now is back to 12k/1yr so that says something.

Your car has no warenty now so IMo service it correctly Renault rules are to lax its enought for warently not god the good running of the engine.

Your cambelt neds doing don't forget.

IMO ever 6k/6months chnage the oil at leat

Ever 12k/1 year do a normal service and ever 2 years a full cvomplete service coolents etc.
