MOT FAILED

I decided to put it through MOT last week to see what it failed on. I do have the sheet but can't be assed to look so here it is off top of my head:

Rear Brakes - need attention not working or poor
Headlights - too low
Steering - Excessive play
Emissions - co2 is high

Bad Points
As I have not owned the car long a bad point is i don't know much about the car, when i have driven/owned it a couple of things i noticed.

Overheats - Due to fan not working i think
Rust - Think its on rear arch but not bad at all (can get pics)
Paint - Not the best condition needs a good T-Cut
Steering - The play in steering is quite bad

Overall
The car is a nice little runner, if i could afford to keep it whilst i take my Polo off road i would but i can't. The car is not mint on the outside but just need a good clean up.

On a good note the inside is very clean and tidy, Drivers seat has sagged a bit but still comfy. No leaks as far as I am aware went through car wash.

Sounds like a nail tbh not worth more than 400 quid or so with no MOT. Get a years ticket and faults sorted and it might be worth 700-800.

Yup sounds about right to me !! With no MOT its just about £400 worth. Mind you could get that by breaking it !!

Just piece of mind, as these cars do have trusty french reliability.

Your MOT probs aren't so bad.

Excessive play in the steering sounds like it will be the steering column where it joins the steering rack. Not a cheap bit of kit. I just paid £140.00 for a new part and thats at trade price. So with fitting ya gonna double that and the rest is just a bit of time and gentle care.

Valvers are a bit of a pain to work on.
It goes wthout saying that you'd need an MOT on it if you actually wanted to drive it, even if you just wanted it as a cheap run around.

Couple of valvers being broken or parts on CS aren't there? Might be a cheap(er) fix

Well in all honesty i just want to sell it like i said I am a Polo person and I have a polo lined up this weekend to purchase and I haven't got the space or time to mess with the clio
