basically got my first service coming up soon on my 182 its a 12,000 mile one dont really wanna take it to my local dealer as ive heard stories bout them if i went sumwhere else i.e-rentech wud io lose my warranty with renault as i didnt get my service with them?

Nope if they use reno parts you are fine warranty wise

As Maz said so long as they use original Renault parts and stamp the book and are VAT registered then no effects.
However if they stamp the book and don't do the full service eg don't check the ball joints and they later fail Renault could refuse the warently claim and say its the garage who stamped the book who should have noticed the issue and it would have been fixed by Renault and warently won't cover the extra expenses incuser from them not being aware of the failure earlier.

My cars been in for warranty work three times and not once have they asked to see the service book.
