setting up televsion

i have just recently moved house and my new room has not got a tv point i was wondering if i could get channel 1-5 using an indoor ariel?
has anyone done this and which ones are recommended

where i live (no tall buildings and trees about) we can get a pretty decent picture on channels 1-4 on the tv in the kitchen with only the crappy free aerial which was included with the tv (basically a circle or wire) channel 5 is a rubbish pic tho.

a mate of mine actually uses an indoor aerial to get a decent freeview signal, tho this is an amplified aerial like this

YMMV tho depends how far you are from your local transmitter, if your in a dip, near tall buildings or trees etc. best bet is to get one from argos or your friendly local retailer who will let you take it back no quibble for a refund if it doesnt do the job.

(and just a side note, if youve moved quite a way from where your tv used to live you may have to retune it)
