Sh*t dealership

hoping theres only one in reading because i wont name names but as some may be aware i had an air con prob so i dropped my car of last week, when i picked it up the dash had a tear in it and the rear of the steering wheel(one of the rubber grips) had a big rip, i complained and they said they would fix it,

so anyway it was booked in yesterday because of a knocking/creaking noise which they were to investigate (was originally told may be engine mount), got called at half 4 to be told car was ready, was all excited(bit sad really but i thought wow finally car will be sorted) get there guy sayin how the trim people are unbelievable and such a good job well had to rush so didnt really check car but to cut a long story short where the dash has been repaired its a slightly different shade of colour and it different in appearence and to touch the steering wheel is still split they have simply glued it down so both bits dont flap around and it is now ripped on the front of the rubber grip as well, and to top it all off the knocking noise whicht hey said was a loose gearbox mount is now like 5 times worse, its such a shame that this wonderfull car is being let down by such sub stamdard customer care!!!

do i have a leg to stand on here i mean its been in for 7 days in total now and will need to once more be back in as problem isnt fixed and neither is the steering wheel which will need replacing, iv so far missed two full days from work as i need a car to work and have also incurred extra expense ie train travel and such and the worst thing they tiold me i was too young for a courtesy car!!

said i needed to be 25 for a courtesy car then when i kicked up a fuss said well theyve all been lent out anyways also noticed one of my headlight washer ball bits is missing lol another trip to the dealer another missing part or broken part

Too young for a courtesy car?!

Shocking..
Back in the day Daz, well ten years ago!! I had an Astra and they would only let me have one if I covered it on my insurance. That seems to be a lot more common these days with dealers trying to keep costs down and the number of accidents people have in courtesy cars!

If a dealer ripped my dash and damaged my wheel I would be  MAD  and if they couldnt fix either in an invisible way, then I would tell them to keep the car until the damaged area could no longer be seen. I would also remind them about how poor Renault are looked upon by their customers in surveys like the JD Power one, and it is for situations like this that Renault do so badly and cant be relied upon as many other dealers. They really should take care of their customers cars and if anything happens, they should sort it properly and give you a car for the inconvenience. Imagine if you wanted to sell your car with the damage created by Renault! Im sure they would bring it to your attention and knock off loads of money.......

this is what i mean im just getting fed up has the car for like 2months now just seems to be in the garage not because of lots of probs tho but just because of how sh*t the people working on it are, its really tempting me to look for a new car which is sucha shame because i love this car but i just cant afford to keep taking it back to the dealership

Im feeling the same way about mine.
I really loved the thing, but I darent take it to Renault anymore, because they just destroy the thing more than what it was when I took it in.

Then they come out with the "well Im sorry sir, but we cant prove it wasnt like that before you brought it in" bullsh*t. And I feel like beating the lot of them round the head with a baseball bat.

I suppose that this is one of the best adverts for using a trusted Renault specialist.

I know it doesnt really apply if you have a new car under warranty, but for an older car like the Willy, Renault wont have seen one for nearly a decade and will still treat it like they treat all the courtesy car Meganes.

To top it all off, an independent will be cheaper too!

Take your car to Steadfast Renault Specialists in Wokingham. Myself and a couple of other ppl from CLioSport use them instead of the Local dealers. Andy (Boss Man) is a great guy and ive always had top notch service from them.

I took my car in to then last friday afternoon (4:30) with the stabiliser bolt for the gearbox sheared off. By 12:00 on Saturday they had got a guy in to drill out the bolt, rethread it and get the car back to me. All this cause I needed the car for Thruxton on Sunday.

Last time mine went in for a service, the radio was re-tuned, and a packet of refreshers went missing from my glove box.

Would have made me mad, but the refreshers are only 20p a pack. The valet boy must have needed the energy. did a good job anyway.

funny u say that saner as i live in wokingham well barkham actually wherabouts is this specialist also with services is renault the only place i can get it serviced and keep the warrenty, they have point blanck refused to properly repiar or replace my steering wheel then treeted me like some tw*t by saying the dash just needed some silicon spray, then the car got re booked to fix nocking noise i was told i may well have to pay for it this is when i realised i should have bought the type r or cupra r
