Been to see two 172s today one was blowing blue smoke and the other had been in a crash and badly repaired

Wanted a silver pre facelift one but might have to just bite the bullet and buy an ex demo or a new 182 cup?

Me too. I use Armorall tyre foam. Spray it on, watch it foam up, then watch it disolve in 15mins to leave a lovely new tyre/showroom finish. Good stuff. Autoglym tyre dressing is also very good, but a bit pricey.

If I could afford the £2k for insurance I would be there in a flash that car looks in amazing condition and I am sure I would love it

The Arnold Clark chain is offering insurance for £470, which means the premium I pay for goint to a garage is cancelled out!

Just found an 04 172 for £9k! (In Black seems a bit cheap but who knows)Going to see it tonight!

have you tried tesco for a quote, and norwich union, if you ring norwich union up they can play with the quote, they almost halved the wifes quote after a bit of haggling
