shaking problems

hi there. just recently fitted a set of 17" wheels on my ph2 RS... since i have put the wheels i have experinced a few problems.

at high speeds the car tends to vibrate, abt 85-90mph, and then gradually gets worse as u increase the speed....this should'nt be happenin even if i have change wheels..... before when i had the standard wheels i was gud for 145 without a problem.

also the car seems to vear to the left at higher speeds......balancing and tracking have been checked and they are fine.


does anyone have any ideas what my problem is....:S

Are they new wheels ? Buckled ?

Sounds like a flat spot. I had exactly the same problem

I have the same issue with my 17 cup at stock vibration through the steering wheel starts at 69mph and gets worse the faster i go, impossible to drive for more that 1/2 mile as arms start to go pins and needles....

got dealership to check it out this week end coming

well car got 4* warrenty with 11 1/2 months to go so if it is major ill be cashing that in !

Go get the tracking done elsewhere few garages even big dealerships can do tracking right.

upps for got to update this post....

took car to a local tyre specialist, they did some wheel balencing, laughed for 20mins at the results and fixed the problem for me....

now i can drive as fast as i like without any vibration woot!
