Just about to order some new tyres. I'm currently on 225/40/18's on a 8.5 wide wheel. Now im tempted to go for 215/35/18's..But its my daily and i do about 50 miles a day..haha
I need a uprated arb first..the 215/35's are going to make it lower anyway. At the moment on the 225's i can only just get a credit card between the tyre and shock at the front...As soon as i get a arb and spacers on the front the adjusters come out on the rear..moo hahaha
Yeah i was tempted to do that for now but im a pussy wimp sissy. Been speaking to a mate of a mate with a decked bora and he runs the R32 one with no issues.
Not the best picture but these were my front wheels and i was running a 195/45/15 on a 8.5". Ran it as a daily and had no issue. Was running 9.5 on the rear with 195/50/15.
Offset is pretty simple to grasp, the lower the number (or -ve), the further it will protude from the arch (on a rim of the same diameter). The ET value is in millimetres, so the difference is how much further in our out in mm the wheel will sit. Throwing different widths and diameters in makes it harder, I just use online calculators in that case.
