shell fuel save

well it seems shell have got a giant stiffy on over this new fuel save stuff? aparantly the unleaded is better than it was?
i allways use vpowerbut wondering if anyone has tried this and can notice any difference and if it could in anyway be compared to vpower?

I filled my tank up last wednesday with it and to tell you the truth i think its sh*t done 80 mile and used half a tank

i filled up with v-power yesterday and i could have sworn the price of the fuelsave stuff was more, well certinky according to the digital numbers on the pump. whats crack there then. is it not only advertising like save an extra litre per tank, thats like 8-10 mies at most in my 182, the difference between traffic or lead footing for a few minutes.

Did anyone read the leaflet? I took a quick look - something about "lubricating technology" and its been compared to standard unleaded..Then scampered leaving it on the side.

i got some the otherday, can't quite work out how efficient it is as my mpg has been all over the shot recently, but i never got an air freshener :-(

I filled up and i have noticed no different. I was surprised when i got handed a leflet and air freshner with fuel save on it. I gess at least you dont have to pay extra or do you?

no it's now the standard shell, so just the bog standard stuff, only premium you pay is how ever much more it is than the supermarkets and stuff, which i don't use anymore anyways

80 miles to half a tank? lol, think there's something wrong with your car.

I'd get that to a tener and still drive it heavy footed.

Think it's just a marketing con myself, can't see them suddenley changing how they produce the petrol?

I filled my near empty tank (diesel) on Sunday and since then I have actually had a loss of power, Before I filled up it was fine, I am convinced it was this fuel.

Back to Morrisons own brand for me!!

seemed to run lumpy as f**k. i drove like a dick to run it out quicker and then filled back up with V-Powaaaagh

They say it can make you travel a meter (YES JUST 1) more on a 50L tank lol

I usually use Asda as its cheap and I'm always in traffic. But the other day I used BP Ultimate. It was 135p compared to Asda's 112p but it did an average of 40mpg compared to 37mpg from Asda (both between an average of 27 and 29 mph). And the engine was much smoother and responsive...just goes to show what better fuel can do ...just a shame about the price

You save 1 liter of fuel per tank...

The way most owners drive RS's I seriously doubt 1 liter of fuel is going to make a difference lol

wasnt impressed at 1st thought, was convinced it was no better just cheaper 2 for them 2 produce and make even more money from us poor customers. Now though i do think im getting better MPG, computer said i was up at 35 which before i could only manage 33mpg. Still love V-POWER tho :star:
