Well obviously its not for fuel economy no, hence the point of my post in them calling it "optimum gear change" when blatently its not. Its not much in way of performance either, cant see hitting the rev limiter in every gear helping performance much.
Just admit you're wrong and shut it. You're trying to be clever with words, no matter what you think it should be, you aren't the person who designed the feature. Only the people who put it there can really say what it is and they have, so just accept that.
Why the f**k would you think they'd put an 'optimum efficiency' light (that's not even how Renault worded it) up near the limiter, fool it's a bloody sports car not a cruiser.
